RANKIN COUNTY, Miss. (WLBT) – Deputies have captured a suspect who was barricaded in a home in Rankin County after fleeing from law enforcement Monday afternoon.
The man has been identified as 35 year old Christian Lane, II, of Vicksburg.

Rankin County Sheriff Bryan Bailey said Lane has 12 misdemeanor arrests, 15 felony arrests and 3 felony convictions. According to Bailey, Lane admitted he was released on probation 14 months ago for business burglary in Warren County.
Bailey said a homeowner in the Cedar Ridge subdivision off Highway 468 spotted a man inside her home on security cameras.
The woman called law enforcement, and deputies responded to the burglary call. When deputies arrived, Lane fled the home on foot.
Deputies pursued Lane, who eventually entered another home through a doggie door on Ridgecrest Drive.
Deputies established a perimeter around the residence and attempted to negotiate with Lane and convince him to surrender peacefully.
Lane was apprehended after deputies entered the home and found him hiding in the attic.
