JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – A Jackson man was arrested Monday and is now facing multiple charges, including kidnapping and rape.
According to Jackson Police Department officials, a male was at a park located in the 800 block of W. Capitol Street on Aug. 14 when he became the victim of a kidnapping, rape and death threat.
The suspect, identified as 27-year-old Ladarius Smith, told the victim he would kill him if the victim told anyone about the incident, JPD officials continued.
On Aug. 17, Smith was arrested and charged with kidnapping, rape and intimidating a witness.
After appearing in municipal court on Aug. 18, Smith was given a combined bond of $4.1 million.
This is an active and ongoing investigation.
