Woman, 3-year-old injured after car and train collide in Jackson
JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – A woman and a three-year-old received injuries after a car and a train collided in Jackson.
According to the Jackson Police Department, it happened around 6:36 p.m. on Sunday on Triangle Drive.
JPD said a woman driving a Honda CR-V with a 3-year-old in it attempted to cross the tracks as the train was approaching, resulting in the collision.
The occupants of the vehicle were taken by ambulance to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
