JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – The severe threat has ended for us in central MS, but a few showers and maybe even another thunderstorm or two are still possible through the lunchtime hours. Beyond that, more dry and pleasant weather is ahead for us!
It will be a breezy day across the area with winds gusting up to 30 or 35mph as the cooler air settles into the region. Clouds and wind will remain in place through the overnight hours, but a colder start is expected tomorrow morning. We will get out the door with a little patchy frost Tuesday and temperatures in the low to upper 30s. Tuesday afternoon will be sunny and cool with highs in the mid and upper 50s. We already start to warm back up by Wednesday with highs in the mid 60s.
We will continue warming through the end of the work week and should see temperatures near 70 again by Thursday. Friday we will start to cool back off as a cold front swings through. This will also bring the chance at a few more showers on Friday and Saturday. The good news is we are not expecting a washout or any storms like this past weekend! Sunny skies and temperatures slightly below average are in the forecast for us by Sunday.
