JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – We’re expecting to cool down to the middle 60s areawide tonight under a clear sky.
There shouldn’t be many changes in our forecast when it comes to Wednesday. High temperatures will rise close to average in the lower 90s with plenty of sunshine to go around. Tomorrow night will likely be the coolest night of the week with the low humidity and clear skies in place. Expect to kick off Thursday morning on a refreshing note in the lower to middle 60s.
The next shift in our weather pattern is expected to take place very soon. Both temperatures and humidity are forecast to trend back up over the weekend going into next week, Highs will run just above normal in the middle 90s with heat indices near 100-degrees. The chance of much needed showers may also start to creep up by then with more moisture around.
Talkin’ Tropics: Ernesto is now a post-tropical cyclone over the northern Atlantic. No additional advisories are expected per the NHC. The rest of the tropics are staying quiet for now with no development expected over the next 7 days.
