JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Excessive heat warnings and heat advisories continue Thursday as temperatures continue to climb and humidity stays high. There will be a chance for a few spotty showers or thunderstorms in the afternoon, but most of us will continue to remain dry.
We won’t see many changes to these conditions throughout the rest of the work week, but by the weekend we could see a shift in the pattern. Although it will remain hot and muggy, slightly better rain chances could be in effect by Saturday afternoon. While coverage still does not look ~ impressive ~ it at least looks better than what we will see during the work week. A few more showers are expected on Sunday. This will all be brought on by a cold front, though it will not change our temperatures.
