Trial date set for State Line triple-homicide suspect

STATE LINE, Miss. (WDAM) – A trial date has been set for the man accused of robbing a Clark’s gas station in State Line and killing Rhonda Denson, Jason Thornton and Lester Campbell.

According to the Nineteenth Circuit Court District Attorney’s Office, Drexler Johnson’s trial date has been set for May 26, 2026.

Johnson was indicted on three counts of capital murder and one count of possession of a weapon by a convicted felon in September.

Johnson can waive his right to a trial or accept a plea deal, but he has always maintained his innocence in this case.
