The candidates will have to impress the five judges to score high enough to make the Top 11 Saturday night.

Those scores include the private interview, talent, health and fitness, evening gown and onstage question.

From the dangers of smoking and vaping, to domestic violence, financial literacy, mental health, healthier lifestyles, adoption, and surviving devastating storms each delegate has chosen a Community Service Initiative or CSI.

They share with the judges and the Miss Mississippi audience during the three nights of preliminary competition that begin Wednesday at the Vicksburg Convention Center.

There are four points on the crown Miss Mississippi wins and Miss America. They stand for scholarship, service, style and success.

The Miss Mississippi class of 2025 hopes this is the year one of them will bring home the national title.

The last Miss Mississippi to win at Miss America was in 1986.

The parade was followed by an autograph party. The first night of preliminary competition begins Wednesday.
