Teen killed, two others injured during shooting in Vicksburg
VICKSBURG, Miss. (WLBT) – A teen was killed, and two others were injured during a shooting in Vicksburg Tuesday night.
According to the Vicksburg Daily News, it happened on Locust and Jefferson Streets.
When police arrived at the scene, they found 19-year-old Quincy Peoples, who had been shot.
He was taken to the hospital but later died due to his injuries.
9-1-1 dispatchers were later told that two other shooting victims had also arrived at the hospital.
Through an investigation, police discovered that the incident began inside an apartment, where a significant amount of drugs were recovered.
Vicksburg PD Chief Penny Jones confirmed that two suspects were arrested in connection to this shooting just four hours after the crime.
Tyler Terry, 21, is facing charges of capital murder, two counts of aggravated assault, and armed robbery.
Javien Shannon, 20, is facing charges of capital murder, two counts of aggravated assault, armed robbery, and possession of a stolen firearm.
