Teen killed after crashing into tree in Lincoln County
LINCOLN CO., Miss. (WLBT) – A teen was killed during a crash in Lincoln County.
Lincoln County Coroner Blake Wallace said that the crash happened around 10:39 p.m. on Friday on Cade Lane.
The 18-year-old, identified as Donald Jones III, died from the injuries sustained after the vehicle ran off the road and struck a tree, resulting in the vehicle overturning.
It appears that Jones was a student at Brookhaven Academy.
The institution said in a Facebook post on Monday, “On behalf of our administration, school board, faculty, and student body, we extend our heartfelt prayers and condolences to the family during this incredibly difficult time.”
