Super Bowl performance inspired Kenny Chesney for his new tour, he says

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Kenny Chesney knows all about a wall of sound. He creates one at each of his concerts.

So when the country music superstar stood in SoFi Stadium at the Super Bowl in February, he couldn’t help but think ahead to when his “Here And Now” tour would reach the venue on July 23.

“The Super Bowl is one of the most exciting nights of the year no matter what you’re into,” says Chesney, a rabid football fan as well as one of the best-selling recording artists of this century regardless of genre. “But being a new stadium, LA, those teams, it was a convergence of everything. We had a blast, watching it, being together. Don’t underestimate the power of being together — especially on a big night — and everyone missed that more than they even knew. So, yeah, it was intense in the best way.”

GEORGE HARRISON’S WIDOW TO PUBLISH BOOK OF POEMS ABOUT LATE BEATLE

That’s the atmosphere Chesney fully expects when he launches the tour April 23 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. His concerts draw full houses at NFL stadia, but because of the COVID-19 pandemic it has been three years since most cities have hosted his tour. The ambitious upcoming tour includes 18 plays at 16 NFL stadiums and two MLB arenas, plus a bunch of smaller venues.

“And I think our crowd is going to be just as intense and dynamic in a different version of that same way,” he notes of the SoFi stop — though he quite possibly could experience that same atmosphere at any of the 39 overall tour locales. “We were supposed to be part of the opening set of shows (in 2021), which is a great thing to be part of. Then the world stopped. Now we’re going to pick that up, and if I know that Southern California crowd who packed the Rose Bowl, it’s going to be insane.”

While Chesney hasn’t toured, he’s been ultra busy writing and recording music — always with an eye on returning to the road to share it. Canceling 2020 and 2021 concerts was painful for all artists, naturally, and Chesney has insisted that this year’s shows will not be limited musically, in their staging and, most importantly, with attendance.

Indeed, in Tampa, organizers opened up more seats several times; that is a show that went on sale 932 days before Chesney will take the stage

“When we made the decision to not go out last year, it was because there were too many tickets sold — and I didn’t want to be in the position of people who’d held onto their seats being told, `Yeah, well, you can’t come,’ ” he says. “No Shoes Nation is a cohesive place; part of the fun is how the people who live in these songs come together. You can hear them in the parking lots tailgating; you see them lined up for the opening of the lots. I didn’t want to go out until everybody could be a part of it. Not the most we could get in, but every single person who wanted to be there.

“As long as I’ve waited … they’ve waited that long, too. So, no No Shoes Nationer left behind. You want to rock with us? C’mon down. We’re here. We’re ready. Let’s see how loud we can get, how much fun we can have and how many memories we can make every single night.”

DOLLY PARTON RECALLS CRITICISM OVER ‘CHEAP’ STYLE: ’PEOPLE WNATED ME TO CHANGE’

It’s been a long time since he’s spent those nights together with thousands upon thousands of fans. When their voices come together with his, it has the feel of a communal celebration. Yet, those concerts also are enlivened by the location: At the end of nearly every song, the explosion of cheers is reminiscent of the noise generated when the home team scores a touchdown.

No matter where Chesney touches down, from Florida to Foxboro, from Minneapolis to the Meadowlands, that environment is repeated.

But then it wasn’t. For two-plus years.

“You do what you do,” explains Chesney, who will be joined by country super group Old Dominion, Carly Pearce, and Dan and Shay for much of the tour.

“When you can’t play for the fans, who are really just friends at this point whether we meet or not — that’s a lot of why we call them No Shoes Nation — I still turn to music. It was frustrating to not be able to play these new songs for people, and we have a few in the show, but I want that to be a surprise, so putting the set list together was hard. But working up the new songs, and having time to really get the feedback, hear what this album meant to people, it was amazing seeing how strong the response was to songs like `Here And Now.’

But even the waltz `Knowing You,’ it tells me people are really listening to these albums, really using the music to help them get through not being together, too.”

“I never thought this music would be doing that, I can say that much. But I’m so glad it has.”

FOX Bet Super 6: Super Bowl picks to win ‘Stack the Cash’ on Rams-Bengals

What a long, strange trip it’s been, friends, from the Kansas City Chiefs being preseason Super Bowl favorites to the hometown Los Angeles Rams hosting the longshot of all longshots, the Cincinnati Bengals, in Super Bowl LVI.

And with Sunday’s big game nearly upon us, we’re all in luck, as FOX Bet Super 6 is bringing back “Stack the Cash” one last time for Super Bowl LVI. With FOX Bet Super 6, all you have to do is answer six questions about Sunday’s game, and if you’re right, you can win the jackpot.

With “Stack the Cash”, there’s a simple twist: the more people who enter the Super 6 contest for this weekend’s NFL clash, the higher the jackpot climbs! And this week’s grand prize, which started at a cool $100,000 of Terry Bradshaw’s money, has already climbed to nearly $200,000 and counting!

So, how can you get in on the action? First, if you haven’t already, download the FOX Bet Super 6 app. Then, enter Sunday’s Super Bowl LVI Stack The Cash Challenge. Make your predictions, then tune in to see if you’re right!

But with “Stack the Cash,” there’s one more step — don’t forget to tell your friends, family, neighbors, grocery store cashiers and everyone else to enter and make their picks. Because remember: the more people who enter the contest, the bigger the jackpot will be for whoever takes home the prize.

To help you get to the pay window, here are my thoughts on this week’s Super 6 contest, with all NFL odds via FOX Bet.

How many total TDs will there be in the game?

    0-3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8-plus

The total scoring over/under has ticked down from 50.5 to 48.5 since the line opened, and that might go down even further. Be careful just assuming two good QBs will result in a shootout. Remember — the year Peyton Manning threw 55 touchdowns, his Broncos offense was held to one TD in a blowout loss to Seattle. And the Rams got to the Super Bowl in 2019 with the No. 2 offense in the league and didn’t score a touchdown against the Patriots.

The Bengals feature a second-year QB and a coach who entered the season on the hot seat. The Bengals-Raiders game totaled three TDs; so did Bengals-Titans. The Bengals-Chiefs game went to OT, and there were five TDs.

I’d take a flier and go opposite of what the masses are projecting: an ultra low-scoring game. Pick: 0-3 TDs

Which QB will have more passing yards, and how many will they have combined?

Joe Burrow, Matthew Stafford, or Tie, with ranges from 0 to 701-plus yards

The Rams will have a lot of success on the ground versus a suspect run defense (13th in efficiency), and there’s a decent chance both QBs struggle to top 200 yards passing. Ignore Stafford’s stats against the 49ers (337 yards) and Bucs (366 yards), as they were playing from behind versus San Francisco, and running against the Tampa front is a fool’s errand. Stafford also only passed for 202 yards in the win over Arizona, as McVay leaned heavily on the run.

That somewhat mirrors a crucial mistake the Chiefs made against the Bengals — nursing a double-digit lead, they kept passing against three or four man fronts. McVay will lean heavily on Cam Akers and Sony Michel, especially if they have a lead. Joe Burrow will be throwing, because the Bengals’ offense won’t be able to run the ball against the fifth-best run defense in the league. The last time the Bengals faced a top-10 run defense (the Raiders), Mixon had just 48 yards rushing, and Burrow attempted 34 passes. Pick: Burrow; 426-475 combined passing yards

Who will have more receptions, and how many receptions will they have combined?

Tee Higgins, Odell Beckham Jr., or Tie, with ranges from 0 to 14-plus receptions

This will come down to how the Rams defend rookie Ja’Marr Chase. They have two choices: Jalen Ramsey shadows him all over the field, or they put Ramsey on Tee Higgins and bracket/double team Chase.

The talk all week has been Ramsey wants all the Chase smoke, and the matchup would make Higgins a much larger point of the offense. He was a star at Clemson, and he’s an over-the-middle threat who had a monster game versus K.C. (six catches for 103 yards) but was dormant versus the Raiders in the opening round (1-10).

Often, when Chase has a monster game, Higgins is quiet, and vice-versa. Chase had nine catches and 112 yards versus the Raiders, but only 6-54 against the Chiefs. This one feels like a Higgins game. Beckham, who Beckham will occasionally be going against former teammate Eli Apple, is no longer a No. 1 receiver, but he’s certainly one of the best No. 2 receivers in the NFL. Pick: Higgins; 11 combined receptions

Which team will make the longer field goal, and how long will it be?

Rams, Bengals, or Tie, with ranges from 0 to 54-plus yards

How can you go against Evan McPherson, the rookie from Florida who has been incredible in the postseason? He’s 12-for-12 in the playoffs with two walk-off game winners. He’s 12-of-14 from beyond 50 yards (regular season and playoffs), while his counterpart, Matt Gay, has only made 4-of-6 from that distance this season, including none in the postseason.

In fact, Gay hasn’t made a field goal from beyond 46 yards since December 21st. Sure, he’s indoors and has kicked more at SoFi, but Sean McVay is more likely to go for it in the middle of the field instead of trotting out his kicker who couldn’t deliver from 54 versus the 49ers or 47 versus the Bucs in the last two games. Pick: Bengals, 50-51 yards

Which team will have more total tackles, and how many will they have?

Rams, Bengals, or Tie, with ranges from 0 to 70-plus tackles

The Rams are known as a high-octane passing attack, but in reality, Sean McVay loves to work the ground game. They dominated time of possession against the Bucs and 49ers, wearing down both defenses despite not picking up one explosive carry (20-plus yards). Stafford has the ability to push the ball downfield with his powerful arm, but moving the sticks with the short precision passing game and making fewer risky throws seems to be what McVay is favoring right now.

All of this adds up to more offensive plays and thus many more tackles for the Bengals. The Bengals are a very boom-bust offense, and I expect their defense to be on the field much longer. When the Rams are milking a fourth-quarter lead, the Akers/Michel duo will be pounding away at the soft middle of the Cincinnati defense. Pick: Bengals, 70-plus

Which team will win and by how many points?

Rams or Bengals, with ranges from 1 to 17-plus points

Tough not to like the Rams here. Besides playing at home, they were the better team all season, and you shouldn’t let a terrific postseason run from the Bengals obscure the fact this team was inconsistent all year. Every season-long metric favors the Rams.

If you’re in the “but luck has been on their side” camp when it comes to the Bengals, sure, the goal line stand versus the Raiders was terrific; getting three Ryan Tannehill interceptions was fortuitous; overcoming an 18-point deficit in Arrowhead was incredible.

But facts are facts. The Rams will be the best defense the Bengals have faced since the 49ers in December (a loss). In fact, the Bengals have not faced one top-five defense all season. The Rams should be able to pressure Burrow off the edges, and this doesn’t feel like a close game. Pick: Rams to win by 7-8 points

The most searched for Super Bowl food terms, according to Google

The Super Bowl is as much about food as it is football.

When it comes to Super Bowl parties, people are expecting there to be a lot of food. Wings, pizza, chips, dips and plenty of other unhealthy food options are always big hits.

The country is pretty evenly split between calling wings hot wings or buffalo wings. (iStock)

Google recently released information about some of the most searched terms for Super Bowl food. Not surprisingly, a lot of people are searching for various wings recipes, along with a wide variety of different dips.

When it comes to wings, the country is pretty evenly split between “hot wings” and “buffalo wings.” On the east coast, it seems that the northern states prefer buffalo wings, while the southern states tend to prefer hot wings (although Florida and Maine both buck the trend).

Buffalo chicken dip was one of the most searched dip recipes across the country. (iStock)

In the Midwest and on the West Coast, however, the split appears to be more random. Texas is a buffalo wings state, while California is a hot wings state.

When it comes to dips, there is much more variety.

While buffalo chicken dip was the most commonly searched term among the most states, it was only the top search result in 18 states. Not surprisingly, a large number of states searched for cheese dips, although the type of cheese seems to vary by region. Texas likes queso dip while Minnesota prefers cheddar cheese dip.

Oklahoma, meanwhile, is a true standout. The number one searched dip is chocolate chip cookie dough. Not only is this the only cookie-dip state, but it’s also the only state to have a dessert-themed dip top its search results.

While Alaska and Hawaii may seem like complete opposites, they do have one thing in common: people really like to search for 7 layer dip recipes in both states.

Vince Lombardi makes special Super Bowl LV appearance, Twitter erupts

The NFL kicked off the start of Super Bowl LV with a pep talk from no other than legendary coach Vince Lombardi.

A hologram of the former Green Bay Packers head coach who led his team to five NFL Championships, including two Super Bowls. took the field to give a pep talk to the Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before the big game

SUPER BOWL 2021 CRITICIZED AS ‘SUPERSPREADER EVENT’ DURING PREGARM FESITIVITES

The special presentation was inspiring to some but others on social media were caught off guard.

The Bucs were leading the Chiefs 7-3 at the start of the second quarter after a touchdown by tight end Rob Gronkowski.

The Super Bowl trophy is named after the legendary head coach. Lombardi and his Packers defeated the Chiefs and Oakland Raiders in the first two Super Bowls, though at that time it was called the AFL-NFL World Championship Game.

Before the Super Bowl was played, the Packers won the NFL title in 1961, 1962 and 1965. Lombardi also was an offensive coordinator for the New York Giants before getting the Packers job in 1959.

The trophy was named for Lombardi in 1970 after he died of cancer.

Then-NFL Commissioner Pete Rozelle and Tiffany & Co. vice president Oscar Riedner came up with the sketch of what would be the trophy in 1966. Each Super Bowl winner gets to keep the trophy, which has the Super Bowl number, the teams, date, location and the final score on it.

Britt Reid, son of Andy Reid and Chiefs assistant, involved in serious car crash ahead of Super Bowl LV

Britt Reid, the son of Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid and the team’s outside linebackers coach, was involved in a car crash Thursday that reportedly resulted in serious injuries.

The Chiefs confirmed Friday that Britt Reid was in a crash and said the organization was “in the process of gathering more information” and would have no further comment on the issue.

Reid, 35, was under investigation for driving impaired in Kansas City, Mo. after police say he was involved in a multi-car crash near Arrowhead Stadium, FOX4 KC reported. The station obtained police documents that match the details of the crash. The documents say that Reid told police he was driving a pickup truck involved in the crash and told an officer he had between two and three drinks and was on a prescription for Adderall. The station reported that no names were identified in the police report.

Police issued a full sobriety test and received a warrant to draw the man’s blood, according to the station. ESPN reported that Reid is not expected to travel to Tampa, Fla., for Super Bowl LV on Saturday.

SUPER BOWL LV EXPECTED TO PROVIDE BOOST TO TAMPA ECONOMY

The crash took place near the southbound ramp of I-435, according to FOX4 KC. A driver in a Chevrolet Impala ran out of gas and on the ramp called for help, police said. The police report stated the hazard lights were flashing, but the car’s battery was starting to die when a family arrived in a Chevrolet Traverse and parked near them with their headlights on.

The station reported, citing the crash documents, that a white Dodge pickup truck was traveling south on the ramp to get to the interstate when the driver struck the Impala and hit the Traverse from behind.

The Impala driver was inside the car at the time of the crash and was not hurt and two adults in the Traverse were not hurt either, according to the station.

    However, a 5-year-old was critically injured and a 4-year-old suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

It didn’t appear Reid was injured in the crash.

Reid joined the Chiefs in 2013 as a defensive assistant and worked his way through the ranks to become the outside linebackers coach in 2019.

Colin Kaepernick deserves ‘our recognition,’ NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell says

Colin Kaepernick was briefly mentioned during NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell’s Super Bowl LV press conference on Thursday ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs’ matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Amid the NFL’s increased awareness about social justice issues, Goodell said that he was “thankful” that the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback raised concerns when he did 4 years ago.

CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM

“I said very clearly back in June that we wish we had listened to our players earlier, and we had a lot of players that were coming and bringing these issues to us,” he told reporters, via the Mercury News. “It didn’t start last summer; it started over two years ago and we’ve been working with the Players Coalition over that period of time.”

Goodell added: “Colin was one of the individuals who obviously brought a great deal of attention to this, and, for that, he deserves our recognition for that and appreciation.”

Goodell expressed remorse over the summer about not listening to Kaepernick sooner when he was kneeling during the national anthem to raise awareness about racial injustice and police brutality.

COLIN KAEPERNICK BILLBOARDS, MURAL GO UP AHEAD OF SUPER BOWL LV

“I wish we had listened earlier, Kaep, to what you were kneeling about and what you were trying to bring attention to,” he told FOX Sports’ Emmanuel Acho in August. “We had invited him in several times to have the conversation, to have the dialogue. I wish we had the benefit of that; we never did. We would have benefited from that, absolutely.”

In the wake of George Floyd’s death, the NFL and Goodell released a video statement saying “Black Lives Matter.”

Kaepernick may not be making an appearance on the field at the Super Bowl but his presence was felt through the Tampa, Fla., area. Ben & Jerry’s put up billboards with the ex-quarterback’s face on them to promote his activism.

Chiefs are now ‘America’s Team’ not the Cowboys, Hall of Famer Willie Roaf says

The “America’s Team” moniker had always belonged to the Dallas Cowboys — but Hall of Fame offensive lineman Willie Roaf said Wednesday it should be Kansas City Chiefs taking the nickname.

Roaf explained to FanSided that the Chiefs are playing better than they have ever played before, and getting back to the Super Bowl and appearing in their third AFC Championship is more than enough reason to call Kansas City “America’s Team.”

CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM

“This is a level that Kansas City has never been at,” Roaf said. “Kansas City is now America’s team. Kansas City went from being a small-market team to being America’s team right now with Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek [Hill], [Travis] Kelce and all those guys. I’m excited for them.

“I’m excited they have another opportunity to go out and play [in the Super Bowl]. They’re the young guns. I think the pressure is more on [Tom] Brady because Brady wants to win another one and he made it in his first year in Tampa.”

CHIEFS’ PATRICK MAHOMES ‘AN INSPIRATION TO WATCH,’ MORTEN ANDERSEN SAYS

The Cowboys’ association with being “America’s Team” began in a 1978 highlight film when the narrator said they appear on television as much as any famous Hollywood actor or U.S. president. Coupled with their success, it made sense to call them that at the time.

CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP

The moniker was reinvigorated again in the 1990s when the Cowboys won three Super Bowls in four years. But the team has not appeared in a Super Bowl since 1995 nor have they made it as far as the NFC Championship.

HOW TO BET SUPER BOWL LV BETWEEN THE BUCCANEERS AND CHIEFS

The biggest sports gambling day of the year is Super Bowl Sunday, and as a result, you get the most efficient point spread of any game all season.

As painful as this will be to hear, there’s no edge betting a side (KC -3) in the Super Bowl. You can say the same for the point total (56.5). The sportsbooks basically copied the spread and total for the November meeting between the two teams (-3, 56), and the line has barely moved since they were hung.

The Super Bowl market is the equivalent of Obi-Wan Kenobi rolling into the Mos Eisley Cantina, but when he is stopped by stormtroopers, he hypnotizes them and says, “These aren’t the droids you’re looking for.”

This is why I hammer prop bets more than the side or total. In-game wagering will be huge, too.

For instance, when Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes fall behind, there is a ton of value on them rallying to win and cover. In last year’s playoffs, the Chiefs trailed by double digits in all three games but pulled off a comeback each time. In the 2020 AFC title game against Buffalo, they trailed 9-0 but stormed back to win and cover.

If Tampa Bay jumps to a 7-0 or 10-0 lead, it’s an auto-bet for me on the Chiefs — and at a much better number than -3. This seems like a good time to remind you that Mahomes has never lost a game by more than one score in his three seasons as an NFL starter (he lost 40-32 to Las Vegas).

With that, we’ll finish the season strong with one last game.

But first, let’s see how we did this season:

    Conference championship weekend

    Totals: 1-0Parlay: 0-1Props: 2-0

    Past nine weeks

    Sides: 6-10Totals: 6-3-1Teasers: 7-2First half: 0-2Props: 2-0Parlays: 0-1Overall: 21-17-1

Now on to the Super Bowl:

    Chiefs (-3)

I wrote about why I bet the Chiefs as soon as the line came out two weeks ago. I’m contractually obligated to mention that Andy Reid is 26-6 straight-up off a bye week, and that’s 7-3 straight-up in the playoffs.

    Some other fun facts:

The Chiefs got to 27 points with 22 minutes left in their earlier meeting with the Bucs, and that’s despite going 0-for-3 in the red zone. K.C. could have easily hung 40 on the Bucs’ defense in Tampa.

K.C. played six games against playoff teams this season – four in the regular season and the Browns and Bills in the playoffs. The Chiefs outscored the group 114-48 in the first half. They had a habit of playing with their food when up big in the second half — and not always covering. That won’t be the case Sunday.

Daniel Sorenson OVER 5.5 tackles and assists (-138)

The Chiefs’ defense features two big names that everyone knows: All-Pro defensive tackle Chris Jones and star safety Tyrann “Honey Badger” Mathieu. But the guy in line for a big game defensively is the versatile safety Daniel Sorenson, whom the Chiefs line up all over the field.

Sorenson played 460 snaps in the box, 216 at free safety and 157 at slot cornerback. He led the Chiefs in tackles this season, and he has had at least six tackles in each of his past six playoff games.

One more thing to remember: Tom Brady loves to matchup-hunt. Think back to how he picked on Green Bay’s Kevin King repeatedly in the NFC title game. If Sorenson finds himself matched up with Chris Godwin in the slot, expect Brady to go after him. Also, Brady has two tight ends who are 6-foot-5 (Cameron Brate) and 6-foot-6 (Rob Gronkowski), and they have a big size advantage on the 6-foot-2 Sorenson.

That just means more opportunities for tackles for Sorenson.

The Honey Badger is the ball-hawking playmaker. Sorenson is the tackling machine.

Leonard Fournette OVER 3.5 receptions (-138)

This is a game script play. I believe the Chiefs will at times blitz Brady similarly to the way they relentlessly blitzed Josh Allen in the AFC title game. Brady, a statue in the pocket, won’t have many options to reach his downfield targets, the same way Allen didn’t.

In addition, the Chiefs’ linebackers are not great in coverage, and that’s why the Bills targeted running backs TJ Yeldon and Devin Singletary a combined eight times. Bruce Arians and Brady seem to trust Fournette more than Ronald Jones, who, to be fair, is coming off an injury.

Fournette’s targets have gone up in each playoff game (4, 5, 7), and he has better hands than Jones, too.

Total FGs made in the first half: OVER 1.5 (-120)

By now, everyone knows the story of Tom Brady in the big game: In nine Super Bowls, Brady’s offenses have never generated a touchdown in the first quarter. In fact, his teams have scored just one field goal in the nine quarters, and that came against the Eagles in 2018.

Slow starts are a real thing. This season, both the Bucs and Chiefs have struggled in the red zone – sounds weird to say out loud, given the two QBs we’re talking about – ranking 11th and 12th, respectively, in red-zone TD percentage. The Bucs converted TDs 64% of the time and the Chiefs just 61%.

In two playoff games, the Chiefs held the Browns and Bills to a combined one TD and two field goals in the first half. Bruce Arians is Mr. “No risk it, no biscuit,” but he’ll save that for the second half.

Any field goal or extra point attempt to hit the upright or crossbar: YES (+425)

The most popular Super Bowl prop is almost always the coin toss bet, but I’ve never gotten into that.

Whether a kick will hit the upright or crossbar? Now that’s fun.

That makes every single kick a must-see event. There’s no research that can be done here. Don’t bother diving into the history of kicks that have hit the upright or crossbar at Raymond James Stadium. If you want to put some pizza money on the YES, you get to root for a “doink” every time a kicking unit trots onto the field.

Darrel Williams OVER 30.5 rush yards (-105)

This is another anti-narrative play. “You can’t run on Tampa, and now Vita Vea is back!”

The Bucs’ run defense has been terrific all season (first in efficiency), and the longest run they’ve permitted in the postseason is 17 yards. And everyone’s going to bet Mahomes to pass for a million yards.

Here’s the funny part: All of that is true and can certainly happen. In fact, it has all happened before, and running back props have still hit. In the Super Bowl last year, the Chiefs trailed for much of the second half, Mahomes attempted 42 passes … and Damien Williams still rushed for 104 yards. Even if you take away his 38-yard TD run late in the game, he still easily cleared his prop total (52).

In the earlier meeting with Tampa Bay this year, Mahomes attempted 49 passes, and rookie Clyde Edwards-Helaire rushed for 37 yards. With CEH nursing a sprained ankle that limited him to six carries for seven yards in the AFC title game, Darrel Williams will get the bulk of the carries.

Jason Pierre-Paul to record a sack: YES (+140)

This is simply a play against the beat-up Chiefs offensive line. Their two best tackles are out, and it’ll be musical chairs of offensive linemen.

That plan didn’t work out so well for Green Bay, as backup left tackle Billy Turner gave up two sacks to Jason Pierre-Paul in the first half of the NFC Championship. JPP had gone five straight games with no sacks.

Speculation is that K.C. will move undrafted veteran Mike Remmers to left tackle to face JPP. This is Remmers’ first season with K.C., and he has played 839 snaps and graded out well, according to Pro Football Focus (36th out of 80 tackles).

Shaquil Barrett to record a sack: YES (+115)

Shaq Barrett has become one of the best edge rushers in the league the past two seasons, and he has an extremely favorable matchup against K.C. guard Andrew Wylie, who is likely to move to right tackle for this game.

Wylie has had a below-average season, according to Pro Football Focus (61st out of 80 guards), and now he must move to the outside, where he might find himself one-on-one with Barrett. In the NFC title game, Barrett abused Green Bay right tackle Rick Wagner, racking up three sacks and four QB hits.

Barrett had two QB hits on Mahomes and one sack in the regular-season meeting.

    Total interceptions: OVER 1.5 (+120)

Brady has played 19 games this season, and for some reason, he has thrown interceptions in bunches, registering five games with multiple picks.

How strange is that? He had a total of five such games in his final three seasons with the New England Patriots.

Some of this can be chalked up to a new offense, new teammates and a new playbook. The only potential monkey wrench in this wager is that Mahomes has played seven postseason games and thrown only two interceptions. Both came against the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl last year.

Player to have longest reception: Scotty Miller (+1100)

Do we know how healthy Antonio Brown is? If he’s unable to play or contribute much, it opens the door for Scotty Miller to slide in and potentially have a big moment.

It’s weird to think of the 5-foot-9, 174-pound Scott Miller as a big-play receiver, but Brady loves to target him deep. Miller hauled in a 39-yard bomb against the Packers at the end of the first half in the NFC title game. He caught Brady’s longest pass against New Orleans, too. Going back to the regular season, Miller snuck behind the Vikings‘ defense for the longest catch of that game (48-yard TD).

Miller also had the team’s longest reception against the Las Vegas Raiders (35 yards), against the Denver Broncos (47) and in the opener against the Saints (35).

Of course, the catch here is that the Bucs’ defense can’t give up anything deep to Tyreek Hill, Sammy Watkins or Mecole Hardman.

Bucs’ Chris Godwin reveals Tom Brady’s expert advice for Super Bowl LV: ‘Temper your emotions’

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin has never been to a Super Bowl but he’s got all the confidence in the world going into Sunday’s showdown having a quarterback who knows a thing or two about winning one.

Godwin appeared on Sirius XM NFL Radio on Tuesday and shared the simple advice that Tom Brady offered on how best to handle the big event.

“That’s something (where) having a guy like Tom on your team really comes in handy,” Godwin said, via NESN. “Because obviously, this is his 10th Super Bowl. He’s been here a couple times, I guess, and the biggest thing that he was mentioning to us as a team is to do just that – temper your emotions.”

The 2019 Pro Bowler explained how he expects Super Bowl LV to stand out from other game days and how keeping his emotions in check will be crucial to his performance.

“Even as you get to game day, it’s a long, long day,” he said. “Not only waiting around in the hotel for most of the day, but when you get to your field, it’s not like your normal pregame routine. It’s extended by, like, an extra 45 minutes before the game, and then you have the extended halftime.”

He continued: “It’s definitely a drawn-out process, so you have to do a good job of not getting too high too early and make sure that you’re peaking at the right moment. Just try to stay in the moment, stay where you’re at and don’t look too far ahead.”

A Penn State product, Godwin was drafted by the Bucs in 2017. He’s hauled in 244 receptions for 3,540 yards and 24 touchdowns throughout his career. He is set to become a free agent after this season unless the Bucs use their one-year franchise tag on him.

Chiefs’ Le’Veon Bell calls Patrick Mahomes ‘greatest player ever’ ahead Super Bowl LV

Le’Veon Bell hasn’t even spent a full season with Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and he already knows he’s the best in the game.

While speaking to the media this week, Bell said he knew how talented Mahomes was before joining the Chiefs in October but he was even more impressed after seeing him play firsthand.

CHIEFS’ PATRICK MAHOMES RECALLS 2019 LOCKER ROOM TALK WITH TOM BRADY AFTER AFC CHAMPIONSHIP LOSS

“I’ve always watched him. I always thought he was a great player,” the veteran linebacker said, via ProFootballTalk. “Then I came here and then when I came here, that’s when it really hit me, like oh, he might be the greatest player ever.”

He continued: “It’s the way he practices, how he goes about his business. … I wish y’all could see the throws he does in practice, it would be unbelievable.”

Bell, a three-time Pro Bowler, was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2013 where he played with Ben Roethlisberger until 2018 — making him no stranger to talented quarterbacks. After sitting out his final season, Bell signed with the New York Jets but was released adjust a few weeks into his second season.

Several days later he signed a one-year contract with the Chiefs and is now within reach of his first Super Bowl title.

“I thought [Mahomes] was like a 10 before I came here. And now I think he’s probably like a 12. That’s about it.”

Bell has faced some injuries this season but over the nine regular-season games he played, he totaled 353 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns.
