Southern Style Green Beans
Ingredients
- 4 bags of frozen Italian or French style green beans
- 1 Idaho Potato (cubed cut)
- 1 16oz bag of cooked bacon bits
- 2 tsp of garlic salt, blk pepper and garlic powder
Directions
- Bring 6 cups of water to a boil
- Add cubed potatoes and bacon bits
- Add green beans (water level should be even with beans)
- Stir then add lid; let cook for 25 minutes (add seasoning to liking)
Green Bean Casserole
Ingredients
- 4 cans of French or Italian cut green beans
- 1can of Cream of Mushroom Soup
- 4 cups of Fried Onions Straws
- 5 cups of Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- Tsp of garlic salt, garlic powder, and black pepper
- 1lb of Shredded Cheese
- Fried Onion Straws
- Note: Ratio 1 soup to 4 can of beans
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350
- In a mixing bowl, add strained green beans
- Season beans with tsp of garlic salt, powder, and black pepper
- Fold in cream of mushroom soup and 1 cup of cheese
- Spray your oven safe serving dish down
- Add your mixture to dish and smooth out evenly
- In a mixing bowl, add your fried onions straws and rest of cheese then mix altogether
- Add the fried onions and cheese mix evenly across the dish
- Bake for 20 min, cool for 10min, and serve
- Tip: to keep onion straws crisp don’t cover dish in oven or when taken out
