NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – The New Orleans Saints will play a regular-season game in Paris in 2026, according to a team release.

The game is set to take place at Stade de France, a large stadium located in the Saint-Denis area, just outside the city. This will be the first regular-season NFL game ever played in France.

The Saints will be designated as the “home” team in Paris.

“We are excited to be selected to play in the first regular season game to take place in France,” said Saints Owner Gayle Benson. “This moment is special not only because of the strong cultural connection between Louisiana and France, but also because we will compete before a growing Saints fan base in Paris.”

Saints season tickets will also see a 10 percent reduction in price to make up for the loss of a game in New Orleans. Fans who have fully paid will receive a credit and refund. Season ticket holders are allowed priority presale access to a lottery for tickets to the Paris game.

According to the French media outlet RMC Sport, the Saints will host the Cleveland Browns on Oct. 25.

Beyond sports, the game highlights stong cutlural ties between Louisiana and France that date back to the 17th century.

The NFL has held games in London, Germany, and Mexico before, but this will be a first for French fans. The Saints last played overseas in 2022, when they took on the Minnesota Vikings in London.

New head coach Kellen Moore will lead the Saints in this historic matchup.
