NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The New Orleans Pelicans are just over two weeks away from the NBA draft, which will be VP Joe Dumars’s first order of business.

The Pelicans have the No. 7 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, and with a deep field of prospects this year, they should be able to find a player that will contribute right away.

When it comes to getting the Pelicans back to winning games consistently, Dumars said he’s not interested in a long-term build-up.

Dumars said the Pelicans will take the best available player over drafting for a simple fit.
