JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – A passenger was ejected from a car in a two-vehicle collision on Interstate 20, near Gallatin Street, earlier tonight, Oct. 10.

One of the vehicles, a Mercury Marquis, was traveling west on I-20 when it hit an object in the road.

The driver then lost control of the vehicle and collided with a railing, which turned the vehicle back towards oncoming traffic.

The vehicle was then hit by a Chevrolet Impala.

During the collision, the passenger in the Mercury Marquis was ejected from the vehicle.

The passenger was sent to a local hospital and their condition is currently unknown.

According to officials, the driver of the vehicle has non-life-threatening injuries.

The two passengers in the Chevrolet Impala have minor injuries.
