JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) -Scattered showers are possible over the next couple of days, with storm chances increasing later in the week. Some storms could bring damaging winds, flash flooding, and hail.

That general pattern will continue throughout the week: daily chances for storms, although not everyone will experience rain each day. Fortunately, the risk of severe weather appears lower over the next few days. Still, it’s a good idea to keep rain gear handy.

Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 80s and low 90s, depending on local rain coverage.

This unsettled pattern is expected to continue into the weekend, with no widespread dry spell likely in the next 10 days.

Tropics Update:

The Atlantic remains quiet for now, with no active systems. As hurricane season continues, we’ll be monitoring conditions closely.
