JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Capitol Police is investigating a shooting at a Jackson apartment complex.

It happened Saturday afternoon at the Morningside Terrace Apartments in Belhaven.

Department of Public Safety Spokeswoman Bailey Martin tells WLBT 3 On Your Side that officers responded to a call regarding an alleged aggravated assault.

Once they arrived at the scene, they found a male suffering from gunshot wounds.

He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.

According to Martin, no arrests have been made.
