Man accused of strangling his mother, kidnapping son from home, police say
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – The Memphis Police Department has arrested and charged a man accused of strangling his mother before kidnapping his son from the home.
According to MPD, Malcolm Flowers, 26, kicked in the door of the home on Wesley Oaks Circle on June 11, 2024; the mother says that Flowers then began to beat and strangle her.
The affidavit says that Flowers, along with the child’s birth mother, fled the scene with his five-year-old son, whom he does not have custody of.
Upon further investigation, Flowers was booked into jail on February 5 and is now facing charges for aggravated assault, aggravated burglary, and aggravated kidnapping.
