JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – A man is under arrest after shooting and injuring two security guards at a Jackson nightclub.

According to the Jackson Police Department, the shooting happened at Club Twilight around 2 a.m. on Friday, located at 3040 Livingston Road.

JPD stated that an argument between two of the nightclub’s employees, who are husband and wife, led to the man being fired by the club owner.

The two security guards then assisted the owner in instructing the man to leave the premises.

That is when the suspect, 29-year-old Jimmy Davis, pulled a gun from his pants and fired it, striking both security officers, JPD said.

On Wednesday, he appeared before a Municipal Court Judge and received a $1.5 million bond.
