Governor discusses coronavirus in state and additional efforts to slow spread

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves discussed the latest on the state’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic Thursday.
Reeves was joined by Dr. Thomas Dobbs, MEMA Director Greg Michel, and Major General Durr Boyles.
Reeves said now is the time go stop playing defense and go on the offense.
Dobbs followed by saying that things are going to get worse before they get better. He urged everyone to keep taking precautions as more cases and more deaths occur.
They also announced new mobile COVID-19 testing sites in DeSoto and Coahoma Counties at Lewisburg High School and Coahoma Expo Center respectively and are open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
