MADISON, Miss. (WLBT) – A playground for students with special needs has opened at Madison Middle School.
A ribbon cutting for the inclusive and accessible swing set was held Tuesday at the school.
“Adding this accessible playground equipment to our school ensures that everyone can participate in outdoor play and feel part of our school community,” said Principal Dr. Doug Jones.
The Madison County Schools Office of Special Services facilitated the purchase of the new playground equipment, which will serve the more than thirty students at the middle school with accessibility needs.
