Deadly accident on Highway 18

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Mississippi Highway Patrol and the Hinds County Sheriff’s Department responded to a deadly accident in Hinds County Thursday night.
The one vehicle accident happened on Highway 18 near Midway Road.
According to Master Sergeant Eric Henry the driver hit a cow, and then left the roadway and struck a tree.
The driver has been identified as 31 year old Joel Johnson from Raymond, MS.
The driver died on the scene.
The MHP Crash Team is currently investigating.
