JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Jackson Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed on Thursday.
According to JPD, the shooting happened in the 5300 block of Interstate 55 North Frontage Road, near Jamaica Drive.
When JPD arrived at the scene, the victim, Frederick Smith, 30, was found shot and pronounced dead.
This shooting is in connection with the crash on I-55, Jackson Police confirmed Friday morning.
JPD is asking for the public’s help in locating and identifying the individuals driving a white vehicle believed to be wanted in connection with the homicide.
This vehicle of interest appears to be a white Honda Accord with a black and red paper tag with “WAS” letters.
JPD says the vehicle was occupied by at least three individuals.
