RIDGELAND, Miss. (WLBT) – Multiple cars caught on fire at a Ridgeland body shop early Monday morning.
3 On Your Side was on the scene around 4:00 a.m. at the Crash Champions body shop, which used to be called Service King.
The fires all happened in the parking lot of the business.
Officials with the Ridgeland Fire Department estimate 17 cars were damaged, all of which are a total loss.
Crews were able to extinguish the blaze in about 30 minutes, officials say.
It is not known how the fires started. The Ridgeland Police Department and State Fire Marshalls Office are assisting RFD with the investigation.
WLBT has reached out to the Crash Champions corporate office to see what this means for customers who had their car damaged. We are still waiting for a response.
