JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – A man’s body was found Thursday morning near Hilda Drive and Forest Avenue Extension.
According to Jackson police, the victim seemed to be in his 20s. He has not been identified.
The man had been shot in the head and back and wrapped in a comforter. He was then dumped on the street.
Hinds County Coroner Sharon Grisham-Stewart has confirmed this was a homicide. She said he had no identification and his fingerprints will be sent to the State Crime Lab.
A passerby discovered the body and then called police.
There are no suspects at this time.
