VICKSBURG, Miss. (WLBT) – A home caught fire in the early morning hours on Thursday in Vicksburg.
According to Vicksburg Fire Chief Derrick Stamps, VFD responded to the fire at 5:50 a.m. located in the 100 block of Woodstock Drive.
Crews made a “forcible entry” into the home in search for the source of smoke. Once inside, the fire was discovered upstairs in a bedroom.
Chief Stamps says the fire was quickly extinguished and that there were no injuries to report.
The Vicksburg Fire Department is investigating the fire with assistance from the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
