JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves says he and his family tested negative for COVID-19.
Reeves said he was tested after coming into contact with a local lawmaker who tested positive. Sunday, several members of the Mississippi House were confirmed positive for COVID-19, including Speaker Phillip Gunn.
Reeves had been isolating while waiting for the results of his test. He says he will host a press briefing at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
My girls and I tested negative for COVID-19. Limited contact with the people who were diagnosed, but better safe than sorry! If someone you know gets the virus, get a test! Back with a 2:30 briefing tomorrow.
