JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – The Mississippi State Department of Health reported 608 new cases and 11 new deaths Tuesday.
MSDH says 406 of today’s cases occurred between August 31, 2020, and May 13, 2021, identified from recent investigations.
The number of presumed positive coronavirus cases in Mississippi is now at 315,634 as of May 17.
So far, 7,268 people have died from COVID-19 in Mississippi.
The number of tests administered in the state totals 2,741,251 as of May 9. This includes MSDH Public Health Laboratory tests and other providers.
An estimated 303,371 people have recovered from the virus.
Vaccinations are open for all Mississippians age 16 and older.
