NATCHEZ, Miss. (WLBT) – Two men were shot multiple times during a drive-by shooting and left on a road in Natchez Tuesday.
Authorities discovered 21-year-old Delronta Tyler and 20-year-old Troy Jones on Highway 61 south near the corner of Colonel John Pitchford Parkway.
Natchez Police Chief Joseph Daughtry says the pair were in a vehicle together when someone pulled up next to them and began firing shots before both jumped out of the car.
Tyler was rushed to the Merit Health emergency room Tuesday and was pronounced dead at 11:40 p.m.
Jones suffered multiple gunshot wounds as well. However, police say his injuries are non-life threatening.
“I’ve seen many shootings in this county, but this was not just a shooting, it was an execution,” Adams County Coroner James Lee stated.
