OXFORD, Miss. (WLBT) – Kewan Lacy rushed for a career-high 224 yards and three touchdowns, leading the way to Ole Miss’ 10th win of the season and defeating Florida 34-24.

Besides the unbelievable numbers from Lacy, it was also a historic night for the sophomore.

Lacy overtook Quinshon Judkins as Ole Miss’ record holder for the most rushing touchdowns in a single season with 19.

It’s the third consecutive 10-win season for Ole Miss – the first time that has happened in program history.

The Rebels found the end zone first in this one after a 12-play, 80-yard capped off by a three-yard Lacy rushing touchdown.

Ole Miss then forced its second three-and-out of the first quarter, and the Rebels were able to add three more points on its ensuing drive to make it a 10-0 game.

The Gators then chomped back with a seven-play, 75-yard drive finished by five-yard DJ Lagway rushing touchdown to cut into the Rebels’ lead.

Then, on the Rebels’ first play of their next drive, Trinidad Chambliss was picked off by Jayden Woods to set up Florida on Ole Miss’ six-yard-line.

Florida punched it in a few plays later on a two-yard Jadan Baugh rushing score to take a 14-10 lead.

The Rebels and Gators then traded touchdowns and field goals after that to close out the half. Florida would lead heading into the break 24-20.

Neither squad could find points in the third quarter, but the Rebels finally took the top off the lid at the start of the fourth with a six-play, 86-yard drive capped off by another Lacy rushing touchdown.

Lagway then made a mistake on the next drive, throwing an interception off a tip to Wydett Williams Jr. to set up the Rebels.

Ole Miss could not score off of the turnover, but they would find the end zone once again after forcing a turnover on downs.

It was Lacy once again with a four-yard rushing touchdown to extend the Rebels’ lead to 34-24.

Chambliss had another impressive day through the air, finishing 26-of-35 for 301 yards with a touchdown and an interception.

Ole Miss now has the week off before heading to Starkville for the Egg Bowl against the Mississippi State University Bulldogs.
