JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) -Hey everyone! Yesterday was a pretty rainy day. Some of that rain will stick around through the early morning, but don’t worry it won’t last all day!

As the rain moves out, we’ll warm up into the mid to upper 50s, with some spots reaching the low 60s. I’d recommend keeping your rain gear handy for your morning commute since we’ll still have some lingering showers, but you won’t need it after lunchtime.

Looking ahead, temperatures will continue warming throughout the week, and moisture will return. By Wednesday, we’ll be in the upper 60s to low 70s, and that warm trend will continue until Thursday when a cold front moves in. That will bring our next chance of rain, but we’ll keep you updated as it gets closer.

For now, expect temperatures to stay well above average, so you can put away the big winter coat and turn off the heat, it’s time to break out the AC!
