First Alert Forecast: A slight cool off is coming this weekend!
JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT)— I hope you’re making the most of the muggy weather around the area! Every day, afternoon showers are forecast. However, a big change is on the way next week.
Expect dense fog south of I-20 this morning, but it’ll be cloudy and muggy for the rest of central Mississippi. Highs will reach the mid-to-upper 70s and low 80s and high humidity will keep the skies overcast today and tomorrow. There is also a chance of isolated showers.
Keep your rain gear handy this weekend. While the rain chances are low, pop-up showers could still hit central Mississippi.
Looking ahead, overnight lows will be in the 60s, with daytime highs in the upper 70s to low 80s, much warmer than usual for this time of year. But don’t get too comfortable, as a cold front is set to move in this weekend.
Expect a drop in temperatures from the 80s on Saturday to the 70s and 60s on Sunday, with a slight chance of rain. The real rainmaker, however, will move in next week, bringing soggy weather to much of Mississippi for a good part of the week!
