Trump endorses Max Miller over GOP Ohio Rep. Anthony Gonzalez, who voted for impeachment

Donald Trump on Friday endorsed his former aide, Max Miller, in his primary challenge of incumbent Republican Ohio Rep. Anthony Gonzalez in the state’s 16th district.

The endorsement came weeks after Gonzalez was one of 10 House Republicans to vote to impeach the former president over his role in the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol. Trump previously indicated that he would play an active role on the campaign trail during the midterm elections.

“Max Miller is a wonderful person who did a great job at the White House and will be a fantastic Congressman,” Trump said in a statement through his Save America PAC. “He is a Marine Veteran, a son of Ohio, and a true PATRIOT.”

“Current Rep. Anthony Gonzalez should not be representing the people of the 16th district because he does not represent their interest or their heart,” Trump added. “Max Miller has my Complete and Total Endorsement!”

Miller, 32, served on Trump’s presidential campaign in 2016 before joining the White House. After a stint in the office of presidential personnel, Miller became White House director of advance. He played a key role in Trump’s re-election bid in 2020, coordinating rallies and other campaign events.

Miller recently moved to Ohio’s 16th district ahead of his run for Gonzalez’s seat. Gonzalez was first elected to the House in 2018.

In a statement last January after his vote to impeach Trump, Gonzalez said the then-president “helped organize and incite a mob that attacked the United States Congress in an attempt to prevent us from completing our solemn duties as prescribed by the Constitution.”

Trump was later acquitted in the Senate on a single charge of incitement of insurrection. The former president has yet to indicate whether he plans to run for the presidency in 2024.

Earlier this month, Trump made clear that he will maintain an active role in GOP leadership in the coming years.

“Where necessary and appropriate, I will back primary rivals who espouse Making America Great Again and our policy of America First,” Trump said in a statement. “We want brilliant, strong, thoughtful, and compassionate leadership.”

Donald Trump Jr. slams ‘blindly’ supporting GOP incumbents, says ‘there’s plenty’ of GOP senators to primary

ORLANDO, Fla. – Donald Trump Jr., said on Friday that there are “plenty” of Senate Republicans who he might support primary challenges against, while slamming the idea of “blindly” supporting incumbents.

The comments, made during an exclusive interview with Fox News, come as the GOP is trying to find its direction now that former President Donald Trump is out of office. Trump Jr., and many others, are making their case for the future of the GOP at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), which began in earnest Friday in Orlando and will continue through Sunday.

“I think without question” the Republican Party is still the Trump party, Trump Jr., told Fox News shortly after his address. “I think you hear it from the voices. I think you see it in the speeches of others that are in government. I see in the backtracking that you see from some of those who went opposite of that the last few weeks. I think it’s pretty clear. And it should be. Putting America first shouldn’t be controversial.”

During his speech, Trump Jr., slammed Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., who he has said should face a primary challenge in 2022. He told Fox News after his speech that there are “plenty” of incumbent Republican senators who he would consider supporting primary challenges against.

“I think there’s a couple that I would certainly get involved in,” Trump Jr. said. “I think [former President Donald Trump] would get involved in picking individual races and individual people that have been supportive of him, and not others. And that’s fine.”

He continued: “I don’t think we have to blindly support, you know, establishment candidates that don’t do anything. I think that’s a mistake and I think we’ve seen too much of that from the establishment where they blindly throw cash, time, money and energy to help failing candidates who have no charisma, no personality, no political chops, get over the line simply because they’ve been there a few years. That’s the kind of nonsense that has to go, and I think it will.”

GOP ‘CIVIL WAR IS NOW CANCELED,” SAYS NRSC CHAIR RICK SCOTT IN FIERY MEMO ASKING FOR PARTY UNITY AHEAD OF 2022

He wouldn’t name any specific senator he thinks should face a primary challenge.

Trump Jr.’s statement comes as many are trying to downplay the idea that there is a civil war within the Republican Party.

IS TRUMP THE GOP’S FUTURE? HERE’S WHAT CPAC ATTENDEES THINK

Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., told Fox News during an interview after his CPAC address Friday that “those who are — seem fairly invested in this whole concept of a Republican civil war — which I think is a D.C. thing. You can come here to see there isn’t a civil war. Our voters have no interest in going back. They want to go forward.”

National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) Chairman Sen. Rick Scott of Florida meanwhile, has aimed to declare that the GOP civil war is “now canceled.” He doubled down on those comments during an interview with Fox News Friday.

“The civil war is canceled. … We’re going to focus on the issues. If you look all across the country what people are talking about is they’re talking about where are we going? They’re not talking about where we’ve been.”

“We’re not going back to dial-up internet. We’re not going back to flip phones and typewriters. We’re going back to, where can we go in the future? What can we do to make sure we get a majority.”

CPAC will continue Saturday morning with another full day of speeches and panels. Former President Donald Trump will deliver the keynote address at CPAC on Sunday.

Sen. Rick Scott at CPAC slams ‘establishment’ Republicans who want to ‘go backwards’

Sen. Rick Scott of Florida is taking aim at “establishment” Republicans who he charges are trying to take the GOP “backwards.”

Speaking Friday at the Conservative Political Action Conference, the chair of the National Republican Senatorial Committee charged that “the Washington establishment breathed a sigh of relief when President Trump left town. There are plenty of people in Washington who were hoping that we can go back to regular order. Go back to where the Republican Party used to be. They want to retreat to a safe space.”

CRUZ AT CPAC: ‘TRUMP AIN’T GOIN’ ANYWHERE’

Scott, a potential 2024 GOP presidential contender, argued that “we can go backwards. We can go to dial up internet. We can go to flip phones. We can go to typewriters. This is absolutely not the time to go backwards. We have in front of us massive challenges and massive opportunities. I’m going to focus on the massive opportunities we have.”

The GOP “will not win the future by trying to go back to where the Republican Party used to be,” the former two-term Florida governor and multi-millionaire businessman emphasized. “If we do, we will lose the working base that President Trump so animated. We’re going to lose elections across the county and, ultimately, we’re going to lose our nation. We’re not going to let that happen.”

“Some to prefer to fan the flames of a civil war on our side,” Scott warned. “That’s foolish and it’s ridiculous. We have serious work to get done. We don’t have time for that.”

The conference, known by its acronym CPAC, is the largest annual gathering of conservative activists and leaders. Fox Nation is a sponsor of CPAC 2021.

The conference comes as Trump vows to remain the dominant figure in the GOP going forward and pledges to support primary challengers against Republicans who have crossed him or who weren’t supportive of his efforts to reverse his election loss last year to Joe Biden. Trump is also flirting with a presidential run in 2024.

Donald Trump Jr. hits Biden, Cuomo, CNN, ‘Lincoln Project Liz’ Cheney in fiery CPAC speech

Donald Trump Jr. made a splash at this year’s Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) by knocking a slew of political foes, including President Biden, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, and Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wy., in a fiery speech on Friday.

Trump Jr., who joked that the convention should be renamed “TPAC,” began by praising the host state Florida’s response to the coronavirus pandemic as “exemplary of the Republican Party.

“This is a state that has open schools, open businesses, and open churches,” Trump Jr. said. “What we’ve seen in some of the more left-leaning states is exactly the opposite. The only thing that they have open is open borders.”

Trump Jr. blasted President Biden’s first 30 days in office, taking aim at his executive order eliminating US energy and “caving” to China.

“Who would’ve thought that within 33 days, we’d be bombing the Middle East again?” Trump Jr. exclaimed, referring to the US airstrike on Iranian proxies in Syria. “Speaking of bombing the Middle East, have you seen Liz Cheney’s poll numbers?”

He went on a tear against Liz Cheney for backing “RINO policies,” calling her “Lincoln Project Liz.”

“Her politics are only slightly less popular than her father is at a quail hunt,” Trump Jr. jabbed the GOP congresswoman. “Liz Cheney hates Donald Trump and his policies because her family has a long history of friendly fire, but she also hates them because she’s tied to an establishment that has done nothing but failed us time and time again.”

Trump Jr. poked fun at CNN host Brian Stelter, tying him to Hasbro’s recent announcement that it was stripping the gender of its classic toy Mr. Potato Head.

“If Hasbro really wanted a gender-neutral Mr. Potato Head so badly, they should just slap a picture of CNN’s Brian Stelter on the cover of their next potato,” Trump Jr. quipped. “What? They don’t call him Mr. Potato Head for nothing!”

Trump Jr. later turned to Cuomo’s scandals, both his nursing home controversy and the sexual harassment allegations he is now facing, and took shots at his brother, CNN anchor Chris Cuomo, who he referred to as “Fredo.”

“Imagine [Florida Gov.] Ron DeSantis did what [Gov] Cuomo has done over the last couple of years. He wouldn’t be getting an Emmy, he’d be in jail,” Trump Jr. insisted. “Credible accusations of harassment swept under the rug, verbal harassment swept under the rug, hiding evidence from the DOJ swept under the rug, no problem. Give him an Emmy! Remember Fredo when he was talking about it for months? Where’s Fredo? He’s so quiet these days! Why isn’t Fredo talking about these things right now?”

He mocked CNN, “‘Oh, we can’t address that,’ but you had no problem joking around with massive Q-tips, making clowns of yourselves for months prior.”

Trump Jr. closed his speech by teasing his father’s address on Sunday, promising that it would not be a “low-energy” address.

Hawley scores raucous applause when he brings up objection to Electoral College certification

As Sen. Josh Hawley brought up his objection to the Electoral College certification, the crowd at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) erupted in a standing ovation, cheers and a “USA” chant.

The Missouri Republican said he’d brought forth an objection to Pennsylvania’s electoral votes to “have a debate over election integrity.”

“What was the result of that? I was called a traitor,” he told the crowd, “I was called seditious, the radical left said I should resign,” or be forced out, he said.

Donald Trump lost the Electoral College vote to President Biden 306-232.

“Over the last six weeks the radical left, their corporate allies and the liberal media have tried to cancel me, censor me, expel me, shut me down, stop me from representing the people of Missouri, stop me from representing you, and guess what? I’m here today, I’m not going anywhere and I’m not backing down,” Hawley said.

CPAC SPEAKER JOSH HAWLEY: WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT THE MISSOURI SENATOR

“I did what my Democratic colleagues have done in every single election a Republican has won in the last 20 years,” arguing that Democrats had objected to the vote in 11 different states.

In 2017, when then-Vice President Biden was presiding over the Senate, he dismissed half a dozen House Democrat objections to Trump’s victory.

“I thought it was an important stand to take, and for that, the left has come after me. They tried to silence me. They canceled a book,” Hawley, a staunch ally of former President Trump, said.

Hawley said he was working for “a new nationalism, a new agenda, to make the rule of the people real in this country.”

“We’re not the past, we’re the future,” he said of Trump-style populist Republicans like him.

Hawley, who alongside Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, led the fight against certifying the Electoral College results until there was a Congressional investigation of voter fraud, took heat for what many took as a role in agitating pro-Trump rioters who then stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6. He lost a book deal with Simon & Schuster, and Democrats launched an ethics complaint against him, with some demanding his resignation.

The passionate response Hawley drew at CPAC was indicative of a conference closely aligned with Trump, bucking some predictions that the former president’s star power in the GOP would dwindle in the days following President Biden’s inauguration.

Hawley, who has drawn nationwide attention by standing up to Big Tech and retaliating against “conservative censorship” by proposing audacious bills to rein in their power, is believed by some to be angling for a 2024 run, if Trump doesn’t jump into the mix.

‘Squad’ members AOC, Omar suggest Senate parliamentarian could be removed over minimum wage decision

House Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., and Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., lashed out at Senate parliamentarian Elizabeth MacDonough Friday after she rejected a progressive-backed proposal to include a federal minimum wage hike in President Biden’s $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief package, suggesting she might have to go over the decision.

MacDonough, a nonpartisan Senate official, determined that Biden’s plan to increase the federal minimum wage to $15 per hour was out of order under special budget reconciliation rules Democrats enacted to speed passage of the bill. Ocasio-Cortez and Omar, both members of the progressive Squad, both indicated consideration should be given to removing her from her post over the decision.

ELIZABETH WARREN, PROGRESSIVE DEMS DEMAND FILIBUSTER GET SCRAPPED IN $15 MINIMUM WAGE FIGHT

“I think the parliamentarian was wrong on this call, and I — when you hear the arguments put forth by not just [Sen. Bernie Sanders’] team, but overall, you know, I think this was, I think this was a really wrong decision, even just on its merits,” Ocasio-Cortez told reporters on Friday.

When asked if she felt MacDonough should be fired, the New York lawmaker said, “All options should be on the table.”

Biden’s original proposal called for the federal minimum wage to gradually increase to $15 per hour by the year 2025. Budget reconciliation rules would allow Senate Democrats to pass Biden’s package with a simple majority vote, but MacDonough determined that the minimum wage was not compliant with those rules.

Omar, a vocal supporter of the wage hike, suggested that Democrats should seek to abolish the Senate filibuster following the dispute.

“I certainly do think that there should be either an override or replacement,” Omar said. “This is our time to fight for the American people and we must do everything that we can.”

When asked to clarify which action she supported, Omar suggested she was open to both.

“Replace her or overrule, whichever they can do, because this needs to get done,” she added. “There are no more excuses.”

GOP lawmakers have adamantly opposed the federal minimum wage hike, arguing the measure would kill jobs and hurt small businesses already struggling during the coronavirus pandemic. Republicans have raised concerns about the cost of Biden’s relief plan, which includes federal aid for state and local governments.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, the ranking Republican member of the Senate Budget Committee, praised MacDonough for rejecting the wage proposal.

“This decision reinforces reconciliation cannot be used as a vehicle to pass major legislative change — by either party — on a simple majority vote,” Graham wrote on Twitter.

Gaetz blasts Cuomo at CPAC: Establishment considers him ‘a cross between King David and Tom Brady’

In a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando, Fla., on Friday, one of the state’s most prominent congressmen, Rep. Matt Gaetz of Pensacola slammed the Republican establishment and the apparent alliance between Big Tech, the mainstream media and major Democrats.

Gaetz slammed what he called “lockdown governors” in Democrat-run states who, in contrast to the Sunshine State, continue to keep their individuals and businesses under strict social and economic restrictions.

“How about freedom for young and healthy people,” he said at the conference, which is streaming live on Fox Nation. “How about we ditch the lockdown governors — Cuomo, Newsom and Murphy, and never ditch the American way of life and the American spirit.”

“When big government fuses with Big Tech, government will become more efficient at acquiring and centralizing power.”

During his speech, he pointed to the press’s and Big Tech’s glowing treatment of New York Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo throughout most of the coronavirus pandemic. Most recently, Cuomo has received rare criticism from otherwise friendly quarters amid allegations of sexual harassment and news reports about the nursing home scandal.

“Now, the fake news media and their allies in Silicon Valley made Governor Cuomo out to be some iconic cross between King David and Tom Brady — What a big lie that turned out to be,” Gaetz remarked.

Gaetz added that former aides to the three-term governor claimed he suggested other staffers engage in “strip poker”.

CNN FACES BACKLASH FOR SCANT COVERAGE OF CUOMO SEXUAL HARASSMENT CLAIMS

“Meanwhile, they were ‘stripping’ Granny out of the COVID ward at the hospital and tossing her in the nursing home in just enough time to infect everybody and then go back to the hospital so that deaths could be recategorized for politics.”

In contrast, Gaetz said the media likes to focus on foibles of conservatives rather than liberals in that regard, pointing to the wall-to-wall coverage of Sen. Ted Cruz’s, R-Texas, brief trip to Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico.

“It was awful the way the media treated Ted Cruz — they were more worried about Ted Cruz going to Mexico to spend his own money than the caravans coming from Mexico to spend ours.”

KURTZ: MEDIA COVERAGE OF CRUZ CANCUN TRIP WAS ‘PERSONAL’

Shifting to battling the centrist and GOP establishment in America, Gaetz called for a “renewed patriotic nationalism” in the U.S., and slammed anti-Trump Republicans like Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo.

He riffed on his own brief trip to the Cowboy State’s capital of Cheyenne, where he gathered a pro-Trump crowd and railed against the daughter of the former vice president and senator.

“If Liz Cheney were on this stage today, she’d get booed off of it,” he said. “I haven’t gotten this much of a warm welcome since I went to Wyoming.”

Secretary of State Blinken leaves Mexicans baffled after displaying their flag upside down

Secretary of State Antony Blinken left some Mexicans baffled on Friday after displaying the Mexican flag upside down during a virtual meeting with Mexican Foreign Secretary Marcelo Ebrard.

Blinken posted a picture of himself seated at a desk in front of the American and Mexican flags ahead of his meeting with Ebrard.

ANTI-ICE PROTESTERS REPLACE AMERICAN FLAG WITH MEXICAN FLAG

“Great to be ‘in’ Mexico! The U.S.-Mexico relationship impacts the daily lives of citizens of both countries,” the secretary of state wrote on Twitter. “Today I’m discussing our commitment to working with Mexico on COVID-19, promoting trade and investment, and implementing a comprehensive approach to regional migration.”

Unfortunately, a detail was off with the virtual visit that left online observers baffled — the Mexican flag was flying upside-down. The head of the eagle borne on the Mexican flag is supposed to face upward — the opposite of how the flag was positioned behind Blinken.

Mexican journalists were quick to point out the error, with some expressing confusion about why the flag was improperly displayed.

AMERICAN FLAG DISPLAY SET ON FIRE IN MASSACHUSETTS

“With the flag of Mexico upside-down, Secretary of State [Blinken] began a virtual visit to the country,” observed journalist Ariel Moutsatsos.

“Biden’s secretary of state appears before the Republic of Mexico with the Mexican flag upside down,” wrote Leonardo Toledo. “It’s a sign, monseur Blinken, a sign.”

“What happened there? The Secretary of State of the United States, Antony Blinken, began his ‘virtual visit’ in which he spoke with Chancellor [Marcelo Ebrard],” asked the publication Periódico Síntesis asked. “But why is the Mexican flag upside down?”

“The flag of Mexico is flipped upside-down, not the other way around,” wrote journalist Leo Agusto, questioning if there was a “coded message” in the upside-down flag.

“The Dept. of State of the US turned the Mexican flag upside down for Secretary Blinken’s videoconference with Chancellor Marcelo Embrard,” wrote journalist Javier Garza Ramos. “In navigation, raising an upside-down flag is an emergency call to signal extreme danger. There must be a reason.”

When done intentionally, upside-down flags are generally used to communicate distress, protest or disrespect.

The State Department didn’t immediately return a request for comment on the upside-down flag.

Blinken is not the first prominent official to fly the Mexican flag incorrectly — former Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto flew the flag wrong during Mexico’s Flag Day.

GOP rep blasts Navy for including book that argues America is fundamentally racist on reading list

EXCLUSIVE – Republican Indiana Rep. Jim Banks on Wednesday sent a letter to Adm. Michael M. Gilday after the Navy included Boston University Professor Ibram X. Kendi‘s “How to Be an Antiracist” on its 2021 reading list.

The No. 1 New York Times bestseller, which has been adopted by some schools and educators, gives advice on how people can be explicitly “antiracist,” as opposed to not racist, and “promises to become an essential book for anyone who wants to go beyond an awareness of racism to the next step of contributing to the formation of a truly just and equitable society,” according to the author’s website.

NAVY TASK FORCE PLEDGE ON DISCRIMINATION, ‘INTERSECTIONAL IDENTITIES’: WHAT WE KNOW

Banks, a Naval Reserve officer since 2012 and ranking member of the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Military Personnel, argues in his letter that the views promoted in the book on the 2021 Chief of Naval Operations Professional Reading Program are “explicitly anti-American” and called on Gilday to explain the Navy’s decision to include it on the CNO-PRP list or remove it.

“The views promoted in ‘How to Be an Antiracist’ are explicitly anti-American. According to Kendi, America is fundamentally racist, so anti-Americanism is a moral imperative,” Branks wrote. “… Cohesiveness and unity in our armed services is essential. Kendi’s ideas are divisive and will undermine morale and weaken our national security.”

The Navy did not respond to an inquiry from Fox News.

The book is listed under the “Sailors” category in the “Foundational” sub-section, which aims to ensure that Navy sailors “remain the best trained and educated force in the world,” and that the military branch cultivates “a culture of warfighting excellence rooted in our core values,” according to Navy’s website.

SENIOR NAVY COMMANDERS TAKE ON EXTREMIST BEHAVIOR AMONG THE RANKS

Banks added in his letter that he is “flabbergasted by the Navy’s decision to officially endorse such a harmful and subversive book” and called on Gilday to provide him “with a written response explaining how ‘How to be an Antiracist’ cultivates a culture of warfighting excellence,’ or remove ‘How to be an Antiracist’ from the CNO-PRP Reading List.”

“As a former servicemember, the claim that ‘How to Be an Antiracist’ is consistent with the Navy’s core values is troubling,” the congressman wrote. “In Kendi’s own words, the defining idea behind the book is that: ‘there is no such thing a not-racist idea,’ there are only, ‘racist ideas and antiracist ideas.'”

Banks cited The Civil Rights Act, which prohibits discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex or national origin.

Kendi, however, argues in his book that “if discrimination is creating equity, then it is antiracist. If discrimination is creating inequity, then it is racist. … The only remedy to racist discrimination is antiracist discrimination.”

“Although this sounds harmless, it is radically opposed to foundational American documents like the Constitution’s Equal Protection Clause, and more recent anti-discrimination protections like the Civil Rights Act of 1964,” Banks wrote.

The book also concludes that the United States as a nation, as well as its institutions, are inherently “racist”; “capitalism is essentially racist”; “racism is essentially capitalist”; and that “when it comes to healing America of racism,” Americans should “want to heal America without pain, but without pain, there is no progress.”

NAVY VET DIED AFTER CALIFORNIA POLICE KNELT ON HIS NECK FOR NEARLY 5 MINUTES, FAMILY ALLEGES

Sales of anti-racism books including “How to be an Anti-Racist”; Robin D’Angilo’s “White Fragility”; and Ijeomo Oluo’s “So You Want to Talk About Race” surged in popularity over the summer after George Floyd‘s May 25 death in police custody in Minneapolis — an event that sparked protests across the country and calls for both ordinary Americans and large corporations to take steps toward promoting antiracism and racial equity.

Lincoln Project, Ossoff campaign staffer may have violated campaign finance laws: watchdog

A former communications staffer for the anti-Trump Lincoln Project may have run afoul of campaign finance laws meant to prevent chatter between super PACs and campaigns, according to an ethics watchdog group.

Keith Edwards worked as communications director for the Lincoln Project until his departure in November, when he took a position as senior digital advisor for the campaign of Sen. Jon Ossoff, D-Ga.

Federal Elections Commission records show, however, that Edwards’ consulting firm, That’s Good Media, was paid $20,000 by the Lincoln Project while still receiving salary payments by Ossoff’s campaign.

Both payments came on Jan. 4, 2021 — one day before the Senate runoff that split the upper chamber 50/50, FEC records show.

That’s Good Media received payments from the Lincoln Project from July 2020 to November 2020 before stopping in December, FEC records show.

At that point in the electoral cycle, all eyes were on the two Georgia Senate seats for control of the upper chamber. Edwards was actively campaigning for Ossoff during this time.

Kendra Arnold, president of conservative ethics watchdog group Foundation for Accountability & Civic Trust (FACT), told the Free Beacon that the payments could point towards illegal coordination between Ossoff’s campaign and the Lincoln Project.

“When a super PAC has inside information from a vendor or employee of a candidate, any advertising the super PAC does on behalf of the candidate is an illegal in-kind contribution to the campaign,” Arnold told the outlet.

“In situations where an individual has ties to both a campaign and outside organization, it raises serious concerns of illegal coordination,” Arnold added.

Federal campaign staffers must wait a cooling off period of 120 days before they are allowed to work for an outside group that is running ads supporting their candidate, such as the Lincoln Project.

JOE BIDEN BUTCHERS JON OSSOFF’S NAME AT GEORGIA RALLY

The Lincoln Project is a vocal anti-Trump group that has gone into free fall since the election, amid accusations that the group turned a blind eye to sexual harassment by co-founder John Weaver.

Weaver allegedly harassed dozens of young, gay men online — including a 14-year-old — while promising them job opportunities and political clout.

The Lincoln Project has also come under scrutiny for allegedly shady financial arrangements, as well a work envirornment that former staffers described as “toxic.”

Edwards did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.
