Ken Jennings says hosting ‘Jeopardy!’ is ‘nerve-racking,’ wishes Alex Trebek were still here

“Jeopardy!” guest host Ken Jennings still feels nervous in the role.

The former contestant called the experience leading the iconic game show “nerve-racking” and wishes the late Alex Trebek was still around.

“I’m like everybody else, I wish it was still Alex out there. But the main thing I noticed is what an amazing job he did, he made it always look so effortless and graceful,” Jennings recently told the Seattle Refined.

“Jeopardy!”s longtime emcee, Trebek, died in November following a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 80 years old.

The Emmy winner served as the host for “Jeopardy!” since 1984, presiding over more than 8,000 episodes.

“It’s been really rough missing him and also just missing ‘Jeopardy!’ with him,” Jennings said. “I think that’s what we’re grieving, the fact that he would be part of our lives, that we could have Alex hosting ‘Jeopardy!’ every evening.”

He added, “I kind of wanted to open the show that way and just say, ‘Look, you can’t replace a great like Alex Trebek. We want ‘Jeopardy!’ to continue. It won’t be the same, but it will still be ‘Jeopardy!'”

‘JEOPARDY!’ STAR KEN JENNINGS ON THE BEST ADVICE ALEX TREBEK EVER GAVE HIM

Jennings won 74 games consecutively as a contestant in 2004 and has been hosting since Jan. 11. His winnings total ended up being over $3.3 million.

Until a permanent host is announced by Sony Pictures Television, which produces the show, interim hosts have been announced by the “Jeopardy!” producers.

“Katie Couric, Aaron Rodgers, Bill Whitaker, and Mayim Bialik will each take their turn as guest hosts of Jeopardy! As a part of each guest host’s appearance, a donation will be made to a charity of their choice,” the show’s official Twitter account said on Wednesday.

‘Jeopardy’ announced on Jan. 13, that Couric will become the first woman ever to host the show and will be among those guest hosting on an interim basis along with NFL quarterback Rodgers, ‘Big Bang Theory’ Bialik and ’60 Minutes’ correspondent Whittaker.

Jennings previously told Fox News about a day he spent with Trebek that really affected him.

‘JEOPARDY!’ CONTESTANTS KEN JENNINGS, JAMES HOLZHAUER MOURN ALEX TREBEK’S DEATH

“I was backstage with him at a tournament and it was before the cancer diagnosis, but he was having a rotten day. He was just feeling lousy. But then the music turned on and the announcer said his name and he just turned him to Alex Trebek and walked out there,” recalled Jennings.

“I asked him about it later and it was not a performance. You know, he’s somebody who actually feels best and is at his most confident and capable when he’s doing his job when he’s hosting ‘Jeopardy!’ because that’s the thing that he has made himself the best in the world at over the last 37 years,” he continued. “I really admire that.. just the idea that the thing you love, the place where you feel like you’re at home, can keep you going.”

“I think about that day not just when I’m on TV, but when I’m doing anything… working on a book or when I’m doing an interview, you know, I just kind of think, how would Alex treat this?” Jennings reflected.

Rapper Soulja Boy’s former female assistant accuses him of sexual assault, holding her hostage in lawsuit

A woman who formerly worked as Soulja Boy‘s personal assistant has filed a lawsuit against the rapper alleging sexual battery, assault, false imprisonment and more took place during her employment.

The woman — who goes by “Jane Doe” in court papers obtained by Fox News — claims the 30-year-old hip hop artist raped, beat and held her hostage in addition to failing to pay her for 18 months of work.

The woman alleges that she began working for the rapper, whose real name is DeAndre Cortez Way, in December 2018. She says she was responsible for cooking, cleaning, driving and styling the performer with a pay rate of $500 a week.

Weeks into her employment, the Jane Doe claims the rapper began sending her “unsolicited pictures of his penis.” A consenusal relationship between the two ensued but she claims it turned violent in early 2019.

A rep for the rapper could not be reached by Fox News. His representative denied the allegations to TMZ, stating, “Soulja would never put his hands on a female. He wouldn’t beat a woman or put his hands on a woman,” and called the allegations “nonsense.”

“These abusive acts began on or around January 23, 2019 and included: numerous instances of physical violence (kicking, throwing, and punching), sexual assaults, spitting on her body, and threats of physical violence and death,” Jane Doe alleges in the court docs.

The woman alleges that the rapper once “pushed” her out of a vehicle, leaving her to walk approximately five miles. The following month, Jane Doe claims Way sexually assaulted her for the first time. After expressing “remorse,” the artist allegedly gave her $1,000.

The Jane Doe alleges the rapper “would punch, kick and body slam” her. She also accused him of threatening her of bodily harm and once stating, “I should have killed you” after an encounter in April 2020.

“Over the course of this abusive relationship, Defendant Way punched Plaintiff directly in the head on at least ten separate occasions,” the lawsuit alleges, adding that one time she was hit so hard she “lost consciousness.”

Additionally, the plaintiff accuses the “Crank That” rapper of once locking her in a room “for approximately three days against her will with no hot water” after she attempted to quit.

The woman also claims to have been raped by the rapper on “numerous occasions.” The plaintiff also claims that she was once “attacked” so aggressively in August of last year that she “thought she was going to die.” She moved out of his home after, leaving her belongings.

The musician has a lengthy criminal record. According to reports, he has been arrested more than once for possessing a firearm. TMZ also reported that the rapper was arrested in early 2020 for assaulting an ex-girlfriend. Paris Hilton shares photos of herself at 18 after alleged abuse at boarding school

Paris Hilton is still healing after revealing she allegedly suffered abuse while attending a private boarding school in Utah.

The reality TV personality, 39, shared photos of herself at 18 years old on social media after returning from the Provo Canyon School where she claimed she suffered emotional and psychological torture.

“These photos were taken when I was 18 and had recently came home from the horrible experiences I went through at #ProvoCanyonSchool. I can see the pain in my eyes. I was so traumatized that I pretended everything was okay, trying to block out the painful memories,” Hilton wrote.

“Looking at this now, I know that the teen me would be so incredibly proud of the woman I am today,” she expressed.

PARIS HILTON DETAILS ALLEGED ABUSE AT UTAH BOARDING SCHOOL FOR THE FIRST TIME: ‘CONTINUOUS TORTURE’

Hilton concluded, “Being brave and using my voice to make a difference and save children from having to endure the abuse myself and so many others have had to go through. #iSeeYouSurvivor #BreakingCodeSilence.”

Hilton detailed her experience at Provo Canyon School in her YouTube Originals documentary “This Is Paris” which premiered in September.

She also told People magazine that the 11 months she attended PCS were “continuous torture,” alleging that she was a victim of bullying by staffers and witnessed violent restraints. She left the school at age 18 in 1999.

PARIS HILTON SAYS SHE WAS PHYSICALLY AND EMOTIONALLY ABUSED IN PAST RELATIONSHIPS

Fox News spoke with six former students and one ex-staffer of the boarding school, who shared their own stories and corroborated the star’s claims of either suffering or witnessing physical and mental abuse, including forced medications, beatings, solitary confinement and bullying by staff.

A former student, Lee Goldman, 33, of Toronto, Canada, attended PCS from 2002-2004. She spoke to Fox News on Sept. 4, the 10-year anniversary of the day she attempted suicide.

At that time in her life, she was embroiled in a lawsuit against PCS, which alleged that a staffer at the school sodomized the then-teen as a means to inject a medication against her will. According to court documents obtained by Fox News, the case was dismissed by the Fourth Judicial District Court in the state due to a failure to prosecute.

“Paris coming out about this could make really large changes in the industry as a whole. She’s a hero,” Goldman told us, adding that Hilton’s documentary could force actionable change in the behavioral health industry.

PCS declined to address the allegations ahead of Hilton’s documentary, telling Fox News in a statement in Sept., “Originally opened in 1971, Provo Canyon School was sold by its previous ownership in August 2000.  We therefore cannot comment on the operations or patient experience prior to this time.”

Allison Janney says a ‘germaphobe’ co-star asked that she put Neosporin on her lips before a kissing scene

Allison Janney’s co-star apparently struggled to kiss the Oscar-winning actress.

The “Mom” star, who appeared on Thursday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” revealed a mystery scene partner once asked her to apply Neosporin on her lips before they filmed a kissing scene.

The antibiotic ointment is used to reduce the risk of infections from minor skin injuries.

“Even before COVID, I had a scene partner who I had to kiss with, and he was such a germaphobe, he would put Neosporin on his lips and ask me to put it on mine, too, before he would kiss me,” the 61-year-old recalled.

ANNA FARIS IS ENGAGED, SAYS HER ‘MOM’ CO-STAR ALLISON JANNEY

Janney, who wouldn’t reveal her co-star’s identity, admitted she didn’t know whether Neosporin would actually prevent germs from spreading or not.

“I took it very personally though,” she said. “Where does he think I put my mouth? It kind of unnerved me, but, you know, people are germaphobes.”

Janney clarified the co-star in question was not Howie Mandel. The “America’s Got Talent” judge has spoken publicly about having obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), as well as mysophobia, a pathological fear of germs and contamination, Page Six reported.

“You might think so, but no, it was not Howie Mandel,” said Janney. “I will not say who it was.”

“I get tested almost seven to eight times a week dependent upon whether or not I’m going to be doing kissing scenes,” she said.

Gigi Hadid reveals name of baby daughter

Gigi Hadid finally revealed the name of her baby daughter whom she shares with boyfriend Zayn Malik.

The 25-year-old supermodel subtly changed her Instagram profile to read “Khai’s mom.”

The couple welcomed Khai in September and have kept her face off of social media.

“Our baby girl is here, healthy & beautiful,” Malik, 28, tweeted on Sept. 23. “To try put into words how I am feeling right now would be an impossible task.”

Mira Furlan, ‘Lost’ and ‘Babylon 5’ actress, dead at 65

Actress Mira Furlan, best known for her roles in the television series “Lost” and “Babylon 5,” has died. She was 65.

Furlan’s Twitter account confirmed her passing on Thursday with a photo that included her death date as Jan. 20. It also shared a past quote from Furlan.

“I look at the stars. It’s a clear night and the Milky Way seems so near. That’s where I’ll be going soon. ‘We’re all star stuff’, I suddenly remember Delenn’s line from Joe’s script. Not a bad prospect. I am not afraid. In the meantime, let me close my eyes and sense the beauty around me. And take that breath under the dark sky full of stars. Breathe in. Breathe out. That’s all,” the quote reads.

A cause of death has not been revealed. But “Babylon 5” creator J. Michael Straczynski shared a tribute to the actress on Wednesday where he suggested her health had recently declined.

JONBENET RAMSEY’S HALF BROTHER STILL WANTS TO FIND HER KILLER: ‘THIS CASE CAN BE SOLVED’

“It is a night of great sadness, for our friend and comrade had gone down the road where we cannot reach her. But as with all things, we will catch up with her in time, and I believe she will have many stories to tell us, and many new roles to share with the universe,” Straczynski tweeted.

The screenwriter shared a lengthy statement about Furlan, beginning with her audition for the action drama series which is set in the mid 23rd century on a space station called Babylon 5 that covers political and racial tensions. Upon their first meeting, Straczynski said he learned about Furlan’s courage in touring with a theater group throughout her home country of the former Yugoslavia despite it being dangerous and the star receiving death threats.

It was a gig Furlan said could have had life-threatening repercussions, but declared, “Art should have no borders.”

“Very few people knew that side of Mira: the fiery, fearless side that fought ceaselessly for art. She brought all of those traits to Delenn, and in turn I tried to write speeches for her that would allow her to comment on what was happening to her homeland without calling it out by name,” Straczynski wrote.

The director noted that Furlan’s husband Goran, a director, was “the rock of her life.”

He also said the cast and crew of “Babylon 5” had “known for some time now that Mira’s health was failing.”

“I’m not sure that this is the right time or place to diiscuss the sheer randomness of what happened…and have all been dreading this day. We kept hoping that she would improve. In a group email sent to the cast a while back, I heard that she might be improving.”

He concluded that Furlan was a “good and kind woman, a stunningly talented performer, and a friend to everyone in the cast and crew of Babylon 5.”

Furlan held several stage roles and was a part of the Croatian National Theatre, Variety reports. She emigrated to the United States in 1991. She played the role of Danielle Rousseau on ABC’s hit show “Lost.”

Lena Dunham fantasy about being Hunter Biden’s wife in White House draws mixed reactions

One of Lena Dunham‘s latest tweets has left her fans scratching their heads.

Dunham, 34, took to Twitter on Thursday to share one of her fantasies, and it involves striking up a romance with President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden.

“I cannot wait to spend holidays at the White House when I am Hunter Biden’s beautiful wife,” Dunham tweeted.

Hunter was primarily out of the spotlight during Biden’s presidential campaign as he is currently under investigation by the Justice Department, which is probing his finances, including some of his alleged Chinese business dealings. President Biden’s 50-year-old son has also come under fire in recent years for developments related to his personal life and his marriage.

The Golden Globe-winning star’s followers trolled both her and Hunter in their replies, with a majority claiming she is “much too old” for Biden’s son and others questioning if she was kidding.

“Interesting brand move for you,” one of her followers replied.

“Not sure he’s exactly a desirable partner…,” another reacted.

Candace Cameron Bure responds to fans upset over who she follows: ‘I follow left and right’

Candace Cameron Bure follows a wide range of people on social media.

She was forced to explain why after fans called her out for following polarizing figures such as former President Donald Trump and former first lady Melania Trump.

The 44-year-old “Fuller House” actress addressed why she likes to follow people who have differing views, experiences and perspectives.

“I read several comments from people, and I think there’s quite a bit of new followers, so thank you if you’re still around for following me here,” Bure said on her Instagram Stories.

Bure also follows President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, conservative commentator Candace Owens and many other actors and actresses in Hollywood.

“A follow does not mean an endorsement,” she pointed out. “A follow does not mean I agree with everything they say and do. It just means I follow a broad range of people so that I have perspective. I want to know what’s going on in the world, I want to hear different sides of the argument. I follow people in entertainment that I don’t necessarily agree with or act the same way, but I want to hear what our society, what culture is dishing out.”

Bure said following various left and right-minded people “doesn’t” make her blood boil

“I don’t get angry at it. So maybe it’s healthy for some of you not to follow people you disagree with. But it doesn’t upset me — it just gives me perspective,” she explained.

Bure previously told Fox News that she doesn’t have an interest in talking publicly about politics anymore after spending almost a year co-hosting “The View” from 2015 to 2016.

Ted Cruz slams ‘rich’ Seth Rogen after actor calls him a ‘fascist’ in spat over Biden’s Paris climate pledge

One of the several executive orders signed by President Biden during his first day in the White House resulted in a Twitter feud between Sen. Ted Cruz, R-TX, and actor Seth Rogen.

Rogen unleashed his fury at Cruz on Wednesday shortly after the Texas Senator slammed Biden’s pledge to rejoin the Paris Climate Agreement.

“By rejoining the Paris Climate Agreement, President Biden indicates he’s more interested in the views of the citizens of Paris than in the jobs of the citizens of Pittsburgh. This agreement will do little to affect the climate and will harm the lievlihoods of Americans,” Cruz tweeted.

The tweet led Rogen to respond directly to Cruz with profanity: “F–k off you fascist.”

Cruz, however, wasn’t having it and used the opportunity to criticize the “Long Shot” actor.

“Charming, civil, educated response,” Cruz quipped to Rogen with sarcasm. “If you’re a rich, angry Hollywood celebrity, today’s Dems are the party for you. If you’re blue-collar, if you’re a union member, if you work in energy or manufacturing…not so much.”

The tweet didn’t go unnoticed by the actor, who again criticized Cruz, calling him a “clown.”

“Haha get f–ked fascist. Go encourage a white supremacist insurrection again you f–king clown,” Rogen fired back.

SETH ROGEN SAYS MARVEL FILMS ARE ‘$200-MILLION COMEDIES’ HE HAS TO COMPETE WITH

In another tweet, the actor wrote, “If you’re a white supremacist fascist who doesn’t find it offensive when someone calls your wife ugly, Ted Cruz is the exact motherf–ker for you.”

“Also I’m in four unions,” Rogen quipped.

The Paris Climate Agreement was one of over a dozen executive orders Biden signed after being sworn in as president on Jan. 20. Several of the executive orders rolled back Trump’s actions during his term, such as rejoining the World Health Organization.

Back in 2017, Rogen gave an interview where he discussed the need to find a balance between speaking out against President Trump and not putting down those who voted for him.

SETH ROGEN SAYS HE’S SMOKING WEED, MAKING POTTERY DURING CORONAVIRUS QUARANTINE

“I don’t want to look back in 10 years and think, ‘I just didn’t say anything during that time,’ because it seems like a time where it’s very important to normalize dissent,” Rogen told the Daily Beast in a wide-ranging interview.

He added that he had tried to be “very conscious” of not insulting Trump’s supporters.

“The way I think of it is just normalizing the idea that a lot of people do not think that he is a good president, and do not think that he is bringing the country in a good direction, and not making it seem like some fringe, out-there thing that only really aggressive people who have whipped themselves into some sort of frenzy are expressing,” the actor said.
