JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – A 6-year-old girl was injured during a shooting in Jackson.

A press release says officers responded to the incident at 10:30 a.m. Sunday in the 4200 block of Pyle Avenue.

According to authorities, two people were on foot shooting at an individual.

During the shooting, a 6-year-old girl was injured. She was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Jackson Police Department says multiple shell casings were collected at the scene.

While no arrests have been made at this time, authorities tell WLBT 3 On Your Side that they have possible persons of interest.
