JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Hinds County Interim Coroner Jermiah Howard confirmed that a young man is dead after a shooting near Holden Street and Segura Avenue.

It happened on Wednesday.

The victim was a 19-year-old, according to the coroner.

On Thursday, the Jackson Police Department identified the teen as Zephaniah Thompson.

JPD is looking to identify two possible suspects as of Friday.

These individuals have been classified as persons of interest in this ongoing investigation.
